LCCC Board of Trustees Approves Transition to Wyoming State College
CHEYENNE, Wyoming - The Laramie County Community College Board of Trustees voted this evening to approve a resolution authorizing the College's transition to a new name Wyoming State College. The action followed public comment during the Board's regular meeting and marks the culmination of more than four years of research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement focused on the institution's awareness, perception, and future growth opportunities.

Laramie County Community College Invited to Return to Nationally Recognized Metallica Scholars Initiative as the Workforce Education Program Expands to over 90 Schools
CHEYENNE, Wyoming - Laramie County Community College is proud to announce it has once again been asked to participate in the eighth year of the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI). Supported by a generous $50,000 grant aimed at continuing the college's Essential Systems Technician training program, LCCC will provide participants with entry level skills for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC careers. The college will once again partner with Advanced Comfort Solutions, Laramie County School District 1 and Dads Making a Difference, a Wyoming Department of Workforce Services program that supports fathers with job training and key life skills. As a two-time MSI participant, LCCC has received $125,000 in support of skilled trades training programs throughout the initiative's existence.
